Jet Pilot Rider Martin Kolman Wins Junior US Open

Martin Kolman, proud Jet Pilot Rider, shone at the Junior US Open (Under21 category) held on the 7th and 8th of June 2014 at Bullneck Lake in Scott, Arkansas. This is an invitational competition starring some of the best young shots athletes in the sport of three event tournament waterskiing.

Martin undoubtedly confirmed his recent extraordinary appetite of battling for the high-flyer posts in just about any event. The first round saw him perform 2/58/10,75 in slalom, score 10460 points in tricks and fly 60,4 metres. A while later he added half a buoy to 2,5/58/10,75, posted 9030 points in shortboard and flew further still – 61,6 metres.

Based on these performances Martin won the Overall competition and became the 2014 Junior US Open Overall and Jump Champion, finished 2nd in tricks/shortboard and came 3rd in slalom.

Martin currently trains with the legendary Cory Pickos in his waterski school located in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, USA. In May Martin successfully wrapped up second year of Kinesiology Undergraduate Studies at the University of Louisiana, Monroe. Martin´s next major event will be the 2014 E&A Open Waterski Championships held in Melice, Czech Republic.
