2018 AJSBA Australian Watercross Championship

The  2018 AJSBA Australian Watercross Championship was held on Lake Macquarie at Lions Park, Eleebana NSW over the weekend. The event attracted a world class field who battled it out in some testing conditions.

The sunshine missed the memo and rain set in, The temperature was set to ice cold, despite the conditions the competitors turned up and put on a great show which was appreciated by the spectators throughout the entire weekend.

The event brought some extra excitement with the 5x time World Champion and Jetpilot team rider Kevin Reiterer from Austria, making his debut at the Australian National titles.

It was great to have a rider of Kevin’s calibre race against Australia’s best. Off the back of a great win in the UIM world aqua bike series, Kevin continued the great form convincingly winning all 4 moto’s.

With Kevin being an international athlete, the Aussie Pro Ski title went to a very worthy winner Jake Barker. Tom Aiken wildly known as a freestyler stepped up and showed many why he is a true talent, taking home the Number 2 in a field that ran deep in talent.
