2023 Moomba Masters
Jetpilot Team Riders Win
Pro Mens & Pro Womens Wakeboard Titles
The Moomba Masters is one of the biggest wakeboard events on the calendar. It is the first event of the year that begins the WWA Wakeboard World Series. The worlds most elite pro wakeboarders all converge on the Yarra River in Melbourne to challenge for the Moomba Masters Crown and start the season off hot with a solid points haul.
In the Pro Mens division Jetpilot team rider and current world number 1, Cory Teunissen was an absolute machine across the event stamping his dominance on the tour with a strong, flawless semi finals and finals run to take out the top spot. Cory has definitely continued his stellar from 2022 where he took out the Pro Wakeboard Tour and WWA Wakeboard World Series championships.
In the Pro Womens division Mackenzie McCarthy ride solid and fought hard for a respectable 7th place finish in what some are calling the toughest and closest Moomba finals they had seen. Mackenzie now heads to the US to continue the Pro Tour and build upon her 2022 season where she climbed to 3rd place in the Wakeboard World Series rankings.
Earlier in the year Zahra Kell announced to the world that after a 2 year break she was making her return to Pro competition at Moomba. And what a dream return for her winning the 2023 Moomba Masters title with a technical and stylish statement. We are stoked for Zahra in her return and look forward to her riding again throughout 2023.
Jetpilot is extremely proud to have supported Cory, Kenz & Zahra for 10+ years each.
To watch them on their wakeboard journey as they grew, evolved and progressed all the way from super groms through to world beaters.
We will continue to support them and look forward to a big 2023.
