The full rundown on Work Pants
Work pants that stretch, dry and cop it
Jetpilot makes work pants the way it makes riding gear: 100% stretch fabrication on the Fueled and Jet-Lite cuts, 4-way stretch on the Hybrids, a performance bias gusset, reinforced knees and pockets on the utility and cuffed pants, YKK zips on most of the range and bar-tacks at the stress points. A work pant that only stretches in the brochure is a pair of jeans with a logo. These stretch when you squat, kneel and climb into the ute, and the Jet-Lite ones are dry again before the next job.
Utility pants
The Fueled Utility Pant is the straight-fit workhorse: 100% stretch fabric, performance bias gusset, bullet-weave pockets and a reinforced back panel, knees and cuffs, with engineered pockets that fit a heavy-duty phone case and a custom side-entry pocket shaped for a clip. The Jet-Lite Utility Pant is the same cut in ultra-lite quick-dry fabric with articulated knees, a rear carpenter pocket and a rear double-layer internal pocket bag. The Jet-Lite 2-in-1 Zip Off Utility Pant adds legs that zip off, and the Jet-Lite Taped Utility Pant adds reflective tape.
Elastic waist pants
The Jet-Lite Hybrid Elastic Waist Pant and Elastic Waist Cuff Pant blend dry-fit polyester with natural fibres for 4-way stretch and a cotton feel, on an elasticated waistband that does the belt's job. Both come taped with reflective tape for sites that ask for it. If the first thing you do at smoko is undo a button, this is your row.
Cuffed pants and the chino
The Fueled Cuff Pant is a slim-fit cuffed pant in 100% stretch fabric with reinforced knees, front-entry pockets, double-layer internal pocket bags, an internal waist draw cord, triple-stitch construction and a YKK zip. The Fueled Corrugated Stretch Pant is the same idea with pintuck panel construction, articulated knees and elasticated cuffs. The Fueled 5 Day Chino is 270 GSM pre-shrunk twill, 97% cotton and 3% spandex, straight leg with a slim tapered fit, for the day you have to see a client and still climb a ladder. The United Trackpant rounds it out in S to 3XL.
Reinforced where pants die
Knees, back panel, cuffs and pockets are the four places a work pant fails, so those are the four places the utility and cuffed pants are reinforced. Bar-tacks where the load goes, double-layer pocket bags so the phone does not wear through, reflective tape on the taped cuts and UV 50+ protection on some styles, marked on the product page. Black, navy, khaki and ink, and none of them look like a uniform at the pub afterwards.
Sizing and the dealer near you
Waist sizes 28 to 44 across the range; the size guide has the measurements. Jetpilot workwear is sold through the dealer network, not online, so find yours on the workwear stockists page and try the waist on before you buy. The rest of the range is on workwear: work shorts for the hot half of the year, and the whole quick-dry family on the Jet-Lite collection.
