You Have Questions? We Have Answers!
How do you choose the right boat tube or towable size (1 to 4 person)?
At Jetpilot, we tell people to choose by your real rider count, not your “maybe we’ll fit four”. A true 1–4 person inflatable tube should match the maximum riders you’ll tow, plus your boat or jet ski’s power and the water conditions. Bigger tubes suit family rotation and stability. Smaller tubes suit higher speed and a more reactive ride.
What makes a towable “heavy duty”?
We look for the build that survives repeat weekends: a heavy-duty PVC bladder, a full nylon cover (often 420D to 840D), reinforced tow system, and handles with padded knuckle guards. That’s the formula you’ll see across quality towables, and it’s exactly how we spec ours.
How much PSI should we inflate a Jetpilot towable tube to?
Always follow the PSI on the product page. As a guide, many of our towables sit around 0.8 to 1.0 PSI, and larger towables typically run lower PSI than smaller ones. Over-inflating can stress seams, under-inflating can make the ride sloppy and increase drag.
What tow rope length should we use for tubing?
We recommend following the tube and rope guidelines, but a common range in the market is 50 to 65 ft (15.25 m to 19.8 m) depending on the towable and wake shape. The goal is keeping riders in clean water, not buried in prop wash.
What are the safest “must-have” features on a towable?
We prioritise multiple secure handles with padded knuckle guards, a quick connect tow hook, and a reinforced tow system. Self-bailing drains also help keep the tube lighter and more controllable after splashdowns
Are Jetpilot towables good for jet skis as well as boats?
Yes. Many of our tubes are built as jet ski tow toys and boat towables, with quick connect tow points, reinforced tow systems, and rider layouts that suit the faster, snappier feel behind a PWC.
Do we need a hand pump, or can we use an electric pump?
Either works. We recommend a pump that can hit low PSI accurately and fits common towable valves (like Boston-style valves). Electric pumps are quicker for bigger tubes. Hand pumps are reliable and simple for beach launches or backup.
What should we do if the tube gets a puncture?
First, stop towing and get everyone in safely. Many Jetpilot towables include a puncture repair kit for small fixes. If the damage is larger, it’s usually better to patch properly at home and re-test inflation before the next session.
Are there rules about how many people we can tow on a tube?
Yes, rules can apply by state. For example, that in South Australia it’s prohibited to tow more than three persons at once. Always check local boating rules and match your tube use to them.
Big days on the water need one thing: a towable that can take a hiding and keep the crew smiling. Jetpilot Boat Tubes & Towables are built for proper Aussie sessions behind the boat or ski, from quick arvo laps to full-day family missions. Whether you’re chasing relaxed cruises or full-send whip turns, this collection is where you’ll find 1–4 Person Inflatable Tubes, Heavy Duty Towable Tubes, and the essentials that make setup easy like Tube Ropes & Hand Pumps.
If you’ve been comparing the top towable listings on Google, you’ll notice the same “must haves” popping up again and again: a tough PVC bladder, a heavy-duty nylon cover, comfortable handles with knuckle guards, and a quick connect tow point that makes it simple to swap riders and get back into it. That’s the baseline. We take it further with shapes, rider positions, and details that are made for real-world fun, not showroom photos.
1–4 Person Inflatable Tubes for every crew size.
Not every day is the same crew. Some sessions are one rider chasing speed, some are two mates calling the shots, and some are the full family rotation. Our multi-rider towables are built with stable ride platforms, multiple grip points, and re-boarding help so the day keeps flowing. The Jetpilot JP4 style tubes are designed around multiple seating positions and re-boarding features, which is exactly what families want when riders are constantly swapping in and out.
Heavy duty towable tubes that last.
Towables get dragged, bounced, and launched. Durability is non-negotiable. Heavy nylon covers and thick PVC bladders are a common callout in the leading towable listings because they are what keep a tube alive after repeated weekends. Jetpilot towables lean into that same build philosophy with heavy-duty covers, reinforced tow systems, and rider-first touch points like padded valve covers and soft-touch ride surfaces on select models.
Jet ski tow toys built for chaos.
Towing behind a jet ski is its own vibe. You want something that reacts fast, stays predictable when you need it to, and still brings the laughs when the driver decides to spice things up. Our Jet Ski Tow Toys are designed for speed, spray, and short sharp sets, with secure handles and stable layouts that help riders hang on longer and enjoy the ride, not just survive it.
Don’t forget the essentials: tube ropes and hand pumps.
The fastest way to kill the stoke is rocking up without the right rope or a pump that takes forever. A proper tow rope matched to your rider count matters for safety and performance, and bungee-style tow ropes are popular because they can soften take-offs and reduce shock load on tow points. Pair your tube with the right Tube Ropes & Hand Pumps and you’re set up for quick inflation, easy changeovers, and more laps per hour.
Quick towing tips we live by.
Check your tube’s recommended PSI, use a rope rated for your rider count, and keep clear communication between driver, spotter, and riders. Handles are there for a reason, hands stay on, and if anyone’s tired, call it early.
Pick your size, choose your ride style, and build the setup that matches your crew. That’s what Jetpilot towables are made for: bigger laughs, better sessions, and gear that’s ready for the next run.
