The WWA has wrapped up it's 35th year of the Nautique WWA Wakeboard World Championships in Portugal. The event is the ultimate stage for athletes from over 20 countries who put it all on the line for a WWA World Title.
 
Jetpilot athlete Cory Teunissen proved that under pressure and as a true champion he has everything it takes, bringing home both the 2023 WWA World Championship and the 2023 WWA World Series Overall Titles. 

Incredibly this is Cory's 3rd consecutive World Championship and he has been ranked number 1 in the world since 2019 making him arguable one of the greatest wakeboarders of all time. 

"I'm beyond grateful to win the WWA World Title this year, this has been one of the hardest titles to my name, it's been a really tight race all season long" said the 3 x Pro Men's World Champion Cory. "I was lucky enough to put together the run I wanted and stand up all eight tricks today on the last event of an amazing season and I can't wait to see what's ahead for our sport".

His win comes not only on the eve of the announcement that the Gold Coast, Australia will host the 2024 World Championship in September next year which is an exciting time for the growth of the sport here in Australia.
