2022 IWWF World Cable Wakeboard Championships
ESC Thai Wake Park was such an amazing location to host this years IWWF Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships.
This years championships was huge: more than 250 riders from 30 countries and we were so stoked to see a big Aussie team over there representing Australia, their local cable parks and showing the rest of the world the level of talent we have back home.
The Jetpilot team in the Open Men's category put on an incredible display throughout the week led by our Pro Riders:
Max MIlde (Germany) / Raph Trinidad (Phillipines)
Busty Dunn (Australia)/ Lachlan Fort (Australia)
We followed the action closely all week via the Livestream and rode out the highs and lows of all the excitement, the tense moments, the falls, the tears, the joy, the elation, and the crazy riding that goes with such a high level of competition.
We were so happy to watch our very own Max Milde take out the coveted Gold medal winning this years IWWF Wakeboard World Championship. Jetpilot has been a sponsor of Max for around 4 years and it has been amazing to see his growth, progression to Pro Rider and now success at this level with his GOLD MEDAL!!
Another of our international riders Raph Trinidad, won the Silver medal in Open Mens giving the Jetpilot team an amazing 1-2 finish.
With Raphs sheer enthusiasm, energy, style and his ability on the water he is an absolute rockstar!
Both Max & Raph rode amazing in the final with the score difference between them being only 1.33 points.
Max finishing on an amazing 87pts & Raph oh so close on 85.67pts.
Our Aussie Pros who travelled over with the Australian Team (Busty & Locky) did a great job and made an impact throughout the comp making it all the way to the semi finals. Busty & Locky both had some rough draws throughout the comp with all 4 of our team guys coming up against each other in the same semis heat (Max vs Raph vs Busty vs Locky). This is where their competition journey ended as they fell out of the running to the absolutely on fire Max & Raph who were ripping through the event on route to eventual podium finishes.
Jetpilot is extremely proud of our Aussie boys and our global team for their efforts on the world stage.
