What are board shorts?

Longer, quick-dry shorts made for the water: no built-in liner, a tie or elastic waist and a leg that sits around the knee. Swim shorts are shorter and lined. Boardies are cut to be worn wet all day and dry on the walk back to the car.

Long board shorts or short: what length should I get?

Jetpilot boardies run 18 to 22 inch outseams. 18 sits above the knee for riding and everyday; 19 to 22 is the classic longer cut. The length is on each product page.

Are they stretch board shorts?

Yes. Most of the range is stretch polyester, and the Rx, F5, Sindy and Tom Hadley boardies run 4-way stretch, so they move through a carve or a squat at the ramp without grabbing. The fixed-waist cuts are sized in waist inches, so buy your jeans size.

Can I wear board shorts on a jet ski?

Plenty do, for a quick blast. For the long sesh in the seat you want a rideshort with a stitched-in neoprene liner, and those live on the mens shorts page. Boardies are the pick for the beach, the boat and everything after.

Do you make recycled board shorts?

Yes. The JTPLT x Tom Hadley boardshorts are 100% recycled 4-way stretch polyester with an 18 inch leg, elastic drawcord waist and woven badges. Same stretch, same quick-dry, less new plastic.

Do the board shorts have pockets?

The F5 runs dual zippered side pockets and a zipper fly; the Tom Hadley collab runs dual side-entry pockets. Pockets are listed on each product page, so check the pair you are after.
