Valentin Dardillat has claimed the 2022 UIM Aquabike World Championship at the September season finale GP of Italy in Olbia.
Racing in the premiere Ski GP1 class and representing teams: Jetpilot and QB1 Racing, Dardillat showed speed and class to hold off his fast finishing opponents.
Morgan Poret has also had an amazing season pushing Valentin the whole way and taking out 3rd spot for himself.
It has been an amazing year for Dardillat as he now owns titles for: French National Champion, European Champion and now the 2022 Auqabike World Champion and further boosts his World Ranking to #3.
After his victory, Dardillat said 'It took fighting hard whilst facing mechanical issues and not giving up in heavy racing conditions. This is a title that comes to reward a great job from my team and my family. A big thank you for the commitment and believing in me, my sponsors and all the other riders. And wow, congratulations also to Axel Courtols and Morgan Poret who ensured an all French podium also!'
Jonna Borgstrom has finished her 2022 Aqaubike season with a 2nd place in the GP of Italy and 3rd overall for the 2022 Aquabike World Championships.
In difficult conditions Borgstrom showed the talent of poise that landed her the 2021 World Championship taking a 2nd, 1st and then 4th across the GP of Italy series.
She currently holds the #3 World Ranking and will be determined and focused to take back the #1 spot for next year.
Fellow Jetpilot Ladies Ski GP1 team riders Emma-Nellie Ortendahl and Estelle Poret both had amazing seasons finishing 5th & 9th respectively.
Jetpilot is extremely proud of our global racing teams achievements during the 2022 Aquabike World Championships.
We now look forward to the World Finals in the US at Lake Havasu from 1 - 9 October for the 2nd Round of the World Cup Triple Crown.
