About the Rx Youth Race Jacket
The RX Youth Race Jacket in Navy/Red is the neoprene top for the grom who already thinks the start line is the best part of the day. It runs 100% 360 Stretch Neoprene so it moves with a growing rider instead of fighting them, with Jet-Loc seam construction holding the panels together through a season of pit-lane scrapes and re-boards.
The durable YKK chest zip stays put under a vest and copes with salt and sand better than the cheap stuff. Seamless underarm panels take the rub out of a full day of throttle, and breathable flow panels let heat out when the racing goes long. Cut in youth sizes 8, 10 and 12, and built to pair with the RX Youth Race John for a full kit.
Wear it under a properly fitted Level 50S or Level 50 life jacket. Check your state's rules for what your young rider needs on your water.

Questions riders ask
Which thickness do I need?
Go by the water. As a guide: 24°C and up, boardies and a rashie; 18–24°C, a 2 mm springsuit or a race john with a wetsuit jacket; 16–18°C, a 3/2 steamer or neo pants under a wetsuit jacket, with Heat Seeker gloves; under 16°C, add a hooded tour coat and neo boots. On the ski the wind matters as much as the water, so the tour coat earns its place.
What does 3/2 mean?
The first number is the neoprene on your body, the second is on your arms and legs, in millimetres. A 3/2 is 3 mm through the torso and 2 mm on the limbs, so it's warm where you need it and still lets you move.
How should it fit?
Measure your chest first: it's the measurement that matters most. A suit should be snug, with no gaps at the lower back and no bunching under your arms. Jackets and tour coats are cut looser so they layer over a vest.
How do I look after neoprene?
Rinse it in fresh water after every sesh and dry it out of the sun. Hang it on a wide hanger, and keep it away from fuel.
What if it doesn't fit?
Swap it or send it back for a refund within 21 days of purchase. Sale items are the exception. Returns and exchanges has the steps.
