Which thickness?

Go by the water temperature, then build the rest from the range.

24°C+: Boardies and a rashie. A race jacket keeps the spray off on the ski.
18–24°C: A 2 mm springsuit, or a race john with a wetsuit jacket.
16–18°CThis one: A 3/2 steamer, or neo pants under a wetsuit jacket, with Heat Seeker gloves.
Under 16°C: The same, plus a hooded tour coat over the top and neo boots.

"3/2" is 3 mm on the body, 2 mm on the arms and legs. On a jet ski you're out of the water and in the wind, so a tour coat or wetsuit jacket over the top is the layer for cold ride days.

The Vault Neoprene Pant is made for PWC racing: tough where it counts and flexible where you need it. EVA Pro-Tech knee pads and wider shin pads take the knocks, while 2 mm 360 Stretch limestone neoprene and air-flow expansion panels behind the knees let your legs bend freely. Lower-leg zips make changes quick. The Blue has a navy seat and pink JTPLT logos; it pairs with the Race Jacket in Blue.

Questions riders ask

Pants or a race john?

The pants give you Pro-Tech knee and shin pads without a full john. The Vault Race John adds removable hip protection.

Are they easy to get on?

Yes. YKK zips on the lower legs let them slide on over your feet, and the seamless seat leaves nothing to rub.

What do they pair with?

The Vault Race Jacket on top. Your life jacket goes over that.

Which thickness do I need?

Go by the water. As a guide: 24°C and up, boardies and a rashie; 18–24°C, a 2 mm springsuit or a race john with a wetsuit jacket; 16–18°C, a 3/2 steamer or neo pants under a wetsuit jacket, with Heat Seeker gloves; under 16°C, add a hooded tour coat and neo boots. On the ski the wind matters as much as the water, so the tour coat earns its place.

What does 3/2 mean?

The first number is the neoprene on your body, the second is on your arms and legs, in millimetres. A 3/2 is 3 mm through the torso and 2 mm on the limbs, so it's warm where you need it and still lets you move.

How should it fit?

Measure your chest first: it's the measurement that matters most. A suit should be snug, with no gaps at the lower back and no bunching under your arms. Jackets and tour coats are cut looser so they layer over a vest.

How do I look after neoprene?

Rinse it in fresh water after every sesh and dry it out of the sun. Hang it on a wide hanger, and keep it away from fuel.

What if it doesn't fit?

Swap it or send it back for a refund within 21 days of purchase. Sale items are the exception. Returns and exchanges has the steps.
