Slim X1 Fit
Cut on Jetpilot's X1 block: slim, narrower at the waist and shaped to follow your body, so there's nothing loose to catch on a grab.

Tight Fit = Safe Fit
It should feel tight when it's dry. It gives a little once it's wet, and a loose vest can ride up or slip off when you hit the water.

Find your size
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms, then check your weight:

• S: 100 cm, 40–60 kg
• M: 105 cm, 60–70 kg
• L: 110 cm, 70 kg+
• XL: 115 cm, 70 kg+
• 2XL: 120 cm, 70 kg+

Between sizes on a slim cut? Try both on over whatever you ride in, because a springsuit changes the fit. Zip it, clip the buckle and get a mate to lift it at the shoulders: it shouldn't ride up past your chin or ears.

Approved to Australian Standard AS 4758, Level 50S: the special-purpose level for watersports like wakeboarding. Same float as Level 50, in any colour.

When you're towed
Every state except WA requires an approved lifejacket when you're towed, and Level 50S is accepted in all of them. WA recommends one, and requires it for slalom. Every state and the NT also require an observer in the boat.

At the cable park
Parks set their own gear rules. Every Australian park we checked wants an approved vest, and most want a helmet too, so check yours before you ride.

Look after it
Rinse it in fresh water after every sesh, dry it out of the sun, keep it away from fuel and store it hung up, not crushed under the esky. Check the zip, buckle and foam before you ride, and replace it if it's torn, crushed or badly faded.
