The full rundown on RX Collection: Jet Ski Racing Gear & Apparel
Jet ski racing gear, Race Reimagined
The RX Collection is the Vault and RX Vault series in one place: the race vests, race johns, race jackets, neo pants, the lid, the goggles, the gloves and the boots that line up on the start line. Race Reimagined is the brief. Nothing flaps, nothing shifts, nothing you have to think about once the flag drops, because a holeshot is won before the ski moves.
The race vests: Vault Pro-Tech and RX Vault Pro-Tech
Pro-Tech Impact Protection built into a race-cut vest approved to Australian Standard AS 4758 Level 50S, the jet ski level, in 100% EcoPrene made with recycled bottles and around 30% lighter than standard neoprene, with triple-layer construction, Freelite buoyancy foam and YKK zips. The RX Vault Pro-Tech adds a CE-tested back protector. Both come as front entry or Side Entry, which moves the zip off the chest and gets the vest on over a john without a wrestle. The Red L50/Black and Charcoal/Orange L50 colourways are Level 50, the same float in high-vis for riders who race or train beyond smooth water in states that require it, Queensland included. Check your state in the Australian life jacket regulations guide. The padding sits on top of the approval, never instead of it. Every PWC vest in the range is on jet ski life jackets, and the Vault Hyperflex is the lighter, more flexible vest in the same series.
Neoprene: race johns, race jackets and neo pants
The Vault and RX Vault Race Johns run 100% 360 Stretch Limestone Neoprene with Jet-Loc seam construction, YKK zips, EVA Pro-Tech knee and shin pads, breathable flow panels behind the knee, lower leg zips and seamless seat panels; the RX Vault Race John adds EN 1621-2 Level 1 approved back protection. The Rx, Vault and RX Vault Race Jackets go over the john for a cold start, with a YKK chest zip, seamless underarm panels and flow panels. The Neo Pants are the same build from the waist down at 2mm. The RX Vault Rashie is a slim-fit 8oz lycra long sleeve with 50+ UV protection for under the vest, and the Vault and Heatseeker Tour Coats are for the pits between motos. All of it sits with the rest of the neoprene on mens wetsuits.
Head, eyes, hands, feet
The Vault Race Helmet is dual certified for water or road, DOT FMVSS No. 218 on the label, with EPS Cone Head Technology, a ventilated shell, airprene liners that release water fast and stainless steel accents that shrug off salt. Vault Vision Race Goggles for the spray, RX Vault Airlite Gloves for the grips, the RX Vault Race Boot and Sock for the footwell. Lids and the rest of the head kit are on jet ski helmets.
Fit
Race gear fits snug or it is not race gear. Johns run XS to 3XL, the vests to 4XL; size off a chest measurement with the size guide, and size the vest with the john on. Buckle up on dry land, lift at the shoulders, and if it goes past your ears, drop a size. Colourways change by season, so if the one that matches your ski is there, that is the time.
