Jet ski life jackets approved to Australian Standard AS 4758. Built for riders on Sea-Doo, Yamaha and Kawasaki skis by a crew that rides them too: Level 50S for the bay, the river and the dam, high-vis Level 50 for riders who punch out past smooth water where the state calls for it, from the weekend Cause to the race-cut RX Vault Pro-Tech. Check your state, get it snug, pin it.

The full rundown on Jet Ski Life Jackets
Jet ski life jackets, from the ramp to the start line
Every jet ski life jacket here is approved to Australian Standard AS 4758 with the level on the product page. Most are Level 50S, the PWC vest, any colour, the minimum on a ski in every state. The Red, Yellow and Orange Level 50 colourways are the same vests in high-vis, built for riders who take the ski past smooth water in states that require it: Queensland asks for Level 50 on a PWC in partially smooth and open waters. Read the Australian life jacket regulations guide, then choose by how you ride.
Choose by the riding
- Weekends with a mate on the back — Cause, the best-selling recreational PWC vest, in mens, ladies and kids cuts, with the Hidden Supergrip handle for the pillion. Cause S-Grip adds the side grab.
- Dawnies, all-dayers and fishing runs — Venture and Venture Plus. Seek the Horizon: EcoPrene, triple-layer construction and a fit that is still comfortable at hour six, long days offshore included.
- Start line and race pack — Vault Pro-Tech, Vault Hyperflex and RX Vault Pro-Tech, with side-entry options. Race Reimagined: Pro-Tech Impact Protection, a custom race panel for your name and number, and a CE-tested back protector on the RX Vault Pro-Tech.
- Nylon — Helium and Titan, front-entry nylon vests for the tinnie, the ski and whoever turns up without one.
- Ladies — Eden and Cause Ladies, cut for women rather than sized down.
What makes a PWC vest
Freelite bevelled-edge buoyancy foam floats you without the bulk. EcoPrene on most of the range, made with recycled bottles and around 30% lighter than standard neoprene. YKK zips, quick positive buckles, reflective hits, a POV camera mount on several of the PWC vests, and the Hidden Supergrip handle for the rider-down moment. Salt, sun, fuel splash and being stood on in the pits: it is built for all of it, by a crew that rides.
Level 50 vs Level 50S, straight
Both give the same buoyancy. 50S can be any colour and is the minimum on a PWC everywhere in Australia. Level 50 has to be high-vis, and Queensland requires it once the ski is past smooth water, which is why the Cause, 360, Venture and Vault come in Level 50 colourways. Smooth water: either. Out through the bar in Queensland: Level 50. Inflatables are not permitted on a PWC, and the collared boat jackets are not built for a fall at speed. Other states set their own rules, so check yours before you buy.
Fit
Size off a chest measurement with the size guide, and if you ride in a race john or tour coat, size with that layer on. Buckle up on dry land and lift at the shoulders; past your ears, drop a size. A vest that rides up when you get flung is the wrong vest.
