Wakeboard life jackets: a wake vest's ride, a life jacket's approval. Every one approved to Australian Standard AS 4758, most at Level 50S, the wake and tow-sports level, in 360 Stretch and EcoPrene builds that flex through a carve and cop the landing, with segmented Freelite foam and the X1 Signature Series the team rides behind the boat and at the park. Mens, womens and kids cuts, colourways that change with the season.

The full rundown on Wakeboard Life Jackets & Wake Vests
Wakeboard life jackets built to be ridden in
Every wakeboard life jacket here is approved to Australian Standard AS 4758, most at Level 50S, the wake and tow-sports level, with the level on the product page. The 40 Year Nighthawk in Red is Level 50, the same float in high-vis for states that require it past smooth water. Check the Australian life jacket regulations guide for your state, then pick the vest by how you ride. Our wake vest buyer’s guide walks you through the cuts, the fit and the full Summer 26 range. A wake vest has one job on a landing: stay put. Get that right and the colourway is yours to argue about.
The Summer 26 wake vests
- X1 Signature Series — the high-performance wake vests built with the team riders, each on its own shell: the Felix X1 in 360 Stretch, the Busty X1 in Flex-Lite Ultra and the Raph X1 in Ecoprene, all with a tapered slim fit and new Summer 26 colours landing this season. The JTPLT x Heatley joins them.
- Nighthawk — the 40 Year Nighthawk, an ultra-tapered side-entry vest with nothing stacked across the front, in Black at Level 50S or Red at Level 50.
- C4 — the close-cut performance vest in Ecoprene, with a flex band above the waist that moves with you through a turn. New Army and Black colours are on their way.
- Phase Hyperflex — the jet ski and wake crossover, with a Hyperflex expansion panel across the midsection and sizes up to 4XL.
- Freeride — the wakeboard vest for first sets and weekend laps, in Ecoprene with a relaxed fit, with Boys and Girls versions in youth sizes.
For the whole boat
Womens life jackets carry the Zahra X1, Isla X1, Luna X1, Pacer X1, Aurora and Allure, cut for women rather than sized down from a mens pattern, plus the Cause Ladies all-rounder; kids life jackets carry the Freeride Boys and Girls in youth sizes. All approved to AS 4758, all cut to ride, none of them the soft version.
Fit
Wake vests fit snug. Size off a chest measurement with the size guide, zip and buckle up on dry land and lift at the shoulders; past your ears, drop a size. Riding in a springsuit or a wetsuit top when the water turns? Size with that layer on. A vest that rides up on a landing is the wrong vest.
Behind the boat
The rider wears the vest, the observer watches the rider, and the rope matches the boat: wake ropes and tie-downs are here. Towing rules differ by state, so read yours before you throw the rope. The full life jacket range, every cut, is on the life jackets page.
